Jim Kepfer has recently retired from his long career teaching music in the Auburn Elementary School District. After playing trumpet and trombone with the Auburn Winds community band, he became the conductor starting in 2018. He has been the jazz trumpet soloist for the Auburn Winds Big Band jazz ensemble since their inception. The Auburn Winds concerts enjoyed by both audiences and band members reflect Jim's lifelong love for a wide variety of music styles.
